Jose's Take

Jupiter is the town I point families to when they want strong public schools all the way through high school, not just elementary. That K–12 arc from Beacon Cove's 10/10 through Jupiter High's 7/10 is real, not marketing. The outdoor access is also real: the river, Jonathan Dickinson, DuBois Park at the inlet, Guanabanas on the water. The market has gotten more expensive. Under $500K is condos, not single-family. Families that can get to $600K will find more options here than in most towns at that price point in the county.

I rented in Abacoa for a year just to test it. Then I saw the market move and called Jose. We closed on a townhouse the following spring. I bike to Harborside now and I still can't believe I actually live here.

What You'll Pay

What does your budget get you here?

Honest ranges, not the headline number on Zillow.

$350K – $525K

Condos and Townhomes

Condos and townhomes in communities like Abacoa or Jupiter Country Club's attached-home sections, 2–3 bedrooms in well-maintained communities with shared pools, fitness centers, and walkable neighborhoods. Inventory in this bracket is limited and typically draws multiple offers within the first week.

$550K – $825K

Single-Family Homes, Family Sweet Spot

Single-family homes in Abacoa, Egret Landing, Shores at Jupiter, or established neighborhoods near the river. Buyers find 3–4 bedrooms, 1,800–2,600 sq ft, mature landscaping, and proximity to the rated schools. Inventory here moves faster than the condo tier and draws the most family buyers.

$825K+

Waterfront and Intracoastal

Waterfront and Intracoastal-view homes along the Loxahatchee River or near the Jupiter Inlet, plus new construction in gated communities. Buyers find 4–6 bedrooms, often with a pool and private boat dock. True ocean-view estates approach $5M–$10M and above.

The Full Story

About Jupiter

Jupiter is a town of 62,000 wedged between the Atlantic, the Wild and Scenic Loxahatchee River, and Jonathan Dickinson State Park. The geography limits density and keeps the scale small for a city its size. Weekend life runs toward kayaking the river, fishing from the pier, hiking the park system, catching spring training games, and biking through Abacoa. The public school system runs from Beacon Cove Intermediate at 10/10 through both middle schools at 8/10 to Jupiter High at 7/10, with Cambridge AICE and AP programming at the high school level. That K–12 arc is one of the few in Palm Beach County where families don't need to factor in private school costs at every stage. The trade-offs are real. There is no luxury retail center; real shopping means a drive to Palm Beach Gardens or Boca. US-1 traffic through the core is slow at peak hours. The waterfront premium is steep: a home with Loxahatchee River access or ocean views runs $500,000–$1,000,000 more than an inland comparable. Sub-$500,000 buys a condo or townhome, not a single-family home.
